JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Purpose of Job:
The main objective of this position is provide support to function and business in the Markets on Internal Control issues, and serve as Internal Control Single Point of Contact (IC SPOC) to stakeholders such as Regional ICCC (Internal Control Competence Center), Global ICOS (Internal Control & Operational Support), External / Internal Audit, for Internal Control questions and initiatives.

Key Activities:

  1. Follow up with business, functions in the Market on Internal Control Data Analytics Reviews initiatives (ex : Key Risk Indicators, Key Configurations), ensuring thorough validation of exceptions, root cause analysis and sustainable actions plans setting.
  2. Trigger and coordinate localization & update of E2E Risk & Controls documents by Local Business. Play the role of a proactive driver, not only moderating discussions, but tangibly helping Business in mapping risks and design efficient controls. 
  3. Monitor role KPI to ensure reduction targets. Trigger local role improvement activities, helping business identify improvement areas in SOD (Segregation of duties) and HSR (High sensitive roles).
  4. Ensure compensating controls for SOD access and process controls transferred to business streams, understood and executed by them.
  5. Coordinate completion of the ICS Self-Assessment process at local level. 
  6. Others (project based, not permanent, or can be assigned to other Areas):
    – Support to evaluate impact of GLOBE process changes at local level (ex : SAP Fraud Management).
    – Review Role Design Specification request for local transactions. 
    – SOD checks upon assignment (can also be executed by Market Role Coordination, following clear rules).
    – Monthly monitor actual spending vs. budget of MOGE (Marketing and Other General Expenses) and send the reports to Budget owners.
    – Support to validate ROI (Return on investment) of promotion activities from Marketing, CCSD Department.
    – Monthly consolidate TTS (Total Trade Support) activities for Management letter.

Key Outputs: 

  • Value added from Data Analytics (KRI and Key Configurations), clear and specific validation / feedback loop on false positive, ensure action taken to fix -confirmed exceptions.
  • Up to date process Risk and Control documentation (ex : E2E R&C) with aligned Market / NBS responsibilities.
  • Role dashboards : sustainable reduction in line with SOD HSR targets. 

Key Relationships Internal to Nestlé Group: (shared / conflicting interests)

  • Effective working relationships with the F&C and other Business streams, NBS organization, regional ICCC as irst line of support, ICOS as second line of support.
  • Reporting line to Decision Support & Control Manager.

Key Relationships External to Nestlé Group: (shared / conflicting interests)

  • Ocasionally, SAP/AX, KPMG IS/IT and Financial Auditors, NGA

Key experiences:

As a rule Market IC should at least have 2 years previous experience in Operational or Audit position resulting in:

  1. Functional & operational in-depth of knowledge in at least one business process such as Accounting Operations, Accounts Receivable, Source to Pay, etc. in which candidates need to have worked.
  2. Exposure to Access Control, SAP Role Management, Globe configurations, sound understanding of Globe / SAP.
  3. Audit experience and an ability to identify issues, their root causes and develop sustainable solutions.

Knowledge:

  • Internal control mindset, couple with a good business understanding, or a clear interest to develop it.
  • Curiosity and ability to understand the business processes and "what can or is going wrong", as well as deep dive to identify workable solutions with business.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with proactive driver mindset, allowing to go beyond "mailboxing" without actually adding value to follow up of KRI, SOD & HSR optimization, R&C mapping.
  • Talent for stakeholders management skills especially at Market level, ability to handle more Senior people. Ability to interact effectively from a distance with various stakeholders in ICCC and Centre.
  • Thorough knowledge of at least one E2E business processes, and ability to develop others.
  • Expsoure to SAP/AX, ability to acquire Globe understanding.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills combined with the ability to facilitate group discussions, explain complex issues in a simple way.
  • Ability to work cross-functional teams.
